HISTORY OF EPI

EPI was founded almost fifty years ago in a 500 sq. ft. farm house in Battle Creek, Michigan. Founders Ike Mellema and Vern DeYoung started their small lettershop operation with a $2000 loan and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. While that commitment to doing "whatever it takes" to satisfy our partner clients remains unchanged, EPI has steadily expanded upon our original print shop capabilities to include offset, flexo and digital print, direct mail, material distribution, promotion fulfillment, call centers, kitting and assembly, packaging and much more.

In 2001 EPI began further expansion of our service portfolio with the development of the EPI Group of affiliated companies. Today EPI is proud to offer our clients the full portfolio of EPI Group company services including those of the DP+Company marketing agency, Workforce Strategies Inc. (WSI) staffing and recruiting and Turnkey Merchandise Programs (TMP).

EPI's history of profitable, sustainable growth has been rooted in our mission to service the current and emerging needs of our partner clients with entirely in-house capability. Today, EPI is one of the largest marketing service providers in the country and continues to grow each year with this same mission at the center of our strategy.
